The Fireflies celebrated St. Patrick's Day on the early release day before Spring Break. All week we researched how to make leprechaun traps, and on Friday we went to work constructing traps. Did we catch a leprechaun? That sneaky guy got away, but not before making a BIG mess in our classroom and leaving us YUMMY cookies! 🍀 The Fireflies celebrated Read Across America Week with all things Dr. Seuss. From our Lorax Mustaches to our Favorite Seuss character, to our Crazy Socks and PJ's, we had a blast celebrating READING! The Fireflies got an unexpected week off of school when winter storm URI came to Texas in February. We experienced record low temperatures with a wintery mix, and many of our Firefly families were without power and water for a couple of days. Many families also experienced broken pipes in their homes. Looks like the Fireflies were able to have some fun during a really difficult time! Thank you for those that send me pictures!❤
